Capital Punishment Game Rules Page 03

WHEN A CRIMINAL ON DEATH ROW GOES BACK ONTO THE STREET
If you have one or more Criminals on Death Row, and your opponent rolls a total of 2 with the dice (snake eyes), you must return all of these Criminals to The Street, and lose a corresponding number of Innocent Citizens as Victims. That counts as your opponent's turn, and he moves none of his pieces.

MOVING A CRIMINAL FROM DEATH ROW TO THE ELECTRIC CHAIR
You may maneuver one of your Criminals from Death Row to The Chair by throwing a 7 or 11. If, having a Criminal or Criminals on Death Row, you throw a 7 or 11, you are not required to move a Criminal to The Chair, but may elect to move another piece or pieces instead.

APPEAL AND PAROLE HEARINGS FOR CRIMINALS
If one of your opponent's Liberals lands on one of your Criminals occupying one of the white blocks adjacent to Death Row marked "If Sprung by Liberal Go to Appeal" or "If Sprung by Liberal Go to Parole Board," you must move your Criminal to the "Start" block on the respective Appeal or Parole Hearing path. You must roll two dice and follow the instructions in the block your Criminal lands on.

SACRIFICING LIBERALS
If you get to a point in the game when you have only one Innocent Citizen remaining, you may sacrifice your Liberals as Victims instead. This tactic will rid you of one or both of your defensive pieces, but you still may be able to win the game.

RULES FOR 3 OR 4 PLAYERS

The same rules apply except that each player begins with 3 Criminals and 2 Liberals. Two Liberals belonging to the same player must be maneuvered into Life Imprisonment in order to spring all opposing Criminals there back onto The Street.

Remember, Liberals may not enter Death Row or cut through Life Imprisonment from the prison side.

Don't forget to return a Liberal to the Ivory Tower once he has knocked an opposing Criminal back onto The Street.

Dream up your own offensive and defensive strategies.
